Papa Elf is celebrating his 45th year as a beloved Christmas character. His first jobs, away from the North Pole that is, found him working at major malls, resorts and private events around Jacksonville, Fl.
Since then, he has delighted kids and families throughout the South East during the Holidays.

Based in Asheville since 1992, Papa Elf worked at Santa’s Land Park in Cherokee for two years before reuniting with Simon Malls in Asheville, Knoxville and Atlanta. For the last several years, Papa has been the Official Elf for the Atlanta Braves at Truist Park, providing a magical experience for families in line to see Santa. This year he will be there for five Fridays and Saturdays and will be celebrating the annual Tree Lighting on Saturday, November 28th.
His yearly Tree Lighting appearance at Mall of Georgia remains a popular tradition and continues for 2026 on Saturday, November 14th.
